La Mer hosts Première

Thursday La Mer sponsored an event at the Paris Theater in New York, in partnership with Christie's.

Amongst the celebrities and rich-and-famous attending were January Jones (Oceana Ambassador), Susan Rockefeller, David Rockefeller, Loan Chabanol, Anh Duong, Georgina Bloomberg, Adam Lindeman, Sir Thomas Moore, Loic Gouzer, Brett Gorvy, Amy GorvyBettina Alonso, Lauren Remington Fenet, Swedish model Victoria Silvstedt, Stavros Niarchos (who dated Paris Hilton), Christie's CEO Steven Murphy, Joshua Bell, Lydia Fenet, Dr. Lisa Airan and La Mer's Sandra Main.

The event was in celebration of nouveau realism artist Yves Klein's famous FC1 (Fire Color 1) painting, which is expected to surpass $ 30,000,000.00 at the Christie's auction on May 8, of which a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Oceana by the current owner of this work in celebration of world Ocean's Day on June 8.

The documentary film screened was Paris's Centre Pompidou produced "La Revulotion Bleu", which chronicles the development of Klein's FC1 involving nude models, paint and fire. Afterwards a film by Oceana was screened, then January Jones spoke about her work for Oceana to protect sharks and other sea creatures.

After the screening the stars kept with the blue theme of the event and sipped on blue cosmos at the Casa Lever, danced to DJ Luka Tacon, and received La Mer goodie bags.
