Rooi Rose Event

Last weekend Rooi Rose (an Afrikaans Women's Magazine in South Africa) held a reader event in the Ballroom at the luxurious 5-star Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town, with La Mer as the main sponsor.

On arrival an army of La Mer Experts treated us to the famous La Mer hand & arm massage, then upon seating at this sold-out event, initially intended for 100, with 150 Rooi Rose & La Mer VIPs attending, we received this scarf from La Mer;

Ruda Landman.

The Event started with Ruda Landman, the famous South African investigative news reporter, giving an uplifting talk about living happy and consciously, quoting from books like "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie & "Loving What Is" by Byron Katie.

Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious buffet brunch, where the Eggs Benedict proved most popular. All La Mer products where on show and on sale, even the new Blanc de la Mer Range. The Reparative Body Lotion was sold out (2 days after launching in South Africa) the tester was there to tease though!

After our Petit Déjeuner, we watched The Miracle Video, and the never-seen-before video about The La Mer Experts around the world featuring La Mer images gliding to a sassy French track.

The sales manager for La Mer, Anna-Marie van Buuren, then talked to us about La Mer and The Miracle Broth in Afrikaans, which I found very interesting, also after seeing an Afrikaans advert in Rooi Rose, it's clear that La Mer appreciates their Afrikaans clientele.

The event ended with a lucky-draw where various prizes where given away, like a Blackberry phone, luggage, and of course, the grand prize of about $ 700.00 worth of La Mer!
